Dear members of the polymer science community, colleagues, and friends,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to Polymer Meeting 17 (PM17), where leading researchers, scientists, and industry professionals will come together to discuss the latest advances in polymer science.

Building on the success of Polymer Meetings 14, 15, and 16, held in Graz, Bratislava, and Prague, respectively, PM17 will take place in Bled, Slovenia, from 21 to 24 September 2027. The meeting will be hosted by the National Institute of Chemistry in collaboration with the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Maribor.

The central themes of Polymer Meeting 17 will be innovative polymers for a sustainable future; advanced polymer materials - from molecular design to applications; connecting polymer science across disciplines; and the role of polymer science in finding solutions for key challenges of the future. Through an exciting scientific programme of plenary and invited lectures, contributed talks, poster presentations, and lively discussions, the conference will highlight recent advances and emerging directions across the broad field of polymer science.

Polymer Meeting returns to Slovenia for the first time since 2013, when it welcomed participants from Slovenia and neighboring Austria. Since then, the conference has grown into a well-established and highly regarded European forum, bringing together researchers from an ever-expanding international community to share scientific achievements, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaborations.

We look forward to meeting you at Polymer Meeting 17 and to sharing the congress experience with you in the beautiful setting of Lake Bled. Together, we will create an inspiring event dedicated to scientific exchange, collaboration, and new connections in polymer science.

We warmly welcome you at Bled!

David Pahovnik, Ema Žagar and Peter Krajnc
